Commissionaires is a solid Canadian company more than 19,000 people strong. We are a well-trained diverse team, of primarily former military and police, of all ages. Southern Alberta
The Southern Alberta Division was established in 1937 with only seven Commissionaires as staff. Today, over 1,500 dedicated Commissionaires work out of five primary locations-Calgary, Red Deer,
Lethbridge, Medicine Hat and CFB Suffield.
Proudly serving all communities in the southern Alberta region the combination of our national strength, and our home-grown western Canadian ideals that ensure our clients are provided with first-class security solutions and ‘old-fashioned' customer service.

Veterans
The Canadian Corps of Commissionaires are proud of our social mandate to provide gainful employment to Canadian Veterans.
In Southern Alberta, the Commissionaires have been providing meaningful employment to Veterans since 1937. Currently we employ over 500 Canadian Forces Veterans, and over 30 RCMP Veterans.
It is these Veteran’s leadership and skills that are the cornerstone of our division’s success.

The Commissionaires are a reliable, traditional company in Calgary for over 75 years. Originally created following the First World War to employ Canadian veterans, we have grown to become the country’s leading not-for-profit security service provider.

The Commissionaires is a non-government, not-for-profit organization that is Canada’s largest and most comprehensive security service provider. Last year we gave over 0.92 cents of every dollar back to Commissionaires in benefits, bonuses, or RRSP contributions.
